Hammer, pliers, crowned snake ... oh my!
Still looking for an explanation of this sign. I'll just have to go back to the shop and ask.
Update: Another reader, Wellingtonia, has found the answer (see the comments). The snake represents wisdom and the tools are those of the blacksmith (as reader Lewi suggested yesterday. This is the coat of arms of the blacksmith guild of Zürich (Wiki).

Hi Z
Have you seen the picture from the 17th of March.

Hoi Wellingtonia: I was referring to yesterday's photo when I wrote "Still looking" so I don't understand what you mean by your comment. Perhaps you mean some other blog? Übrigens, du kannst auch auf Deutsch schreiben.
That is interesting. A snake is usually connected with medicine. (Pharmacy or doctor) and a hammer and pliers with some sort of steel work. But combined? I'd like to know.
Hi
Sorry !
I didn't read the comment.

Bill: Pharmacy is what I thought at first (see yesterday's post title). But the other tools are curious. A horn, e.g.?
Wellingtonia: Schon gut! Habe nur gewundert... :-)
