Brown cow


Here's a 'typical' Swiss scene. Agriculture and industry side by side, so to speak. In the background is a neighboring village/town called Würenlingen and the Holcim cement factory (click here for other posts mentioning the plant).

I took the photo up in an area near us called Nassberg.

That is a typical scene. I love how nice it is. I think it would make a good ad in print or a very nice post card. You do nice photography.

Great position for that shot.... it is a bitter sweet shot I think, since it says alot about Switzerland I think with more and more competition for space...

I see the industry, but where's the ag? Oh, the milk machine you mean? Of course in the US, where the myth of the family farm is perpetuated, one is used to agri-business and milk comes fron a plastic box...

Conch: Is the family farm still talked about in the US? I guess as a "back when I was a wee one" story. Incidentally, we usually buy our milk in a plastic container... hm!
