Optik
An optician's shop. The warm reception that the previous two posts received made me go look through my old photos for interesting signage. I don't remember for certain, but I think this is in the old town area of Solothurn. If I could do it over, I'd try to get the building to the right out of the image.

I think the shape of the building adds to the photo.. It appears to be stairs that perhaps the ostrich will be climbing.
I'm enjoying your signs.
Another great sign! Now you've inspired me to get out and find some awesome signs like this! :)
I have truly enjoyed your series on shop signs! I especially love this one at the optician's shop!
I'd like to know what an ostrich has to do with optics. ;D
Fun series you've got going here. I love the peacock!
This one is really cute. Not sure what kind of link there is between ostriches and glasses... but it gives you something to ponder at least.
I'm guessing the bird is related to the name of the shop and/or shop-owner. Or, here's a thought: a reference to the old saying about ostriches burying their heads in the sand to ignore problems -> not seeing.
These signs are delightfuland I'm with Karen, the building adds value in this particular shot, because of its stair like shape.
Eye catching and appealing, the creator had a sense of humour.
That is a great sign.. what a beautiful series. I have taken a few shots of great Swiss signs, perhaps I will have to do a small series of my own in the future... but you have way better ones than I have found. Nice eye... ;)
I also like the building in the photo...it adds dimension and interest. Great capture Z!
cute!!!! :)
