Grape harvest

The grapes on "our" hill were harvested this past weekend.

Oh My. I never saw a hill loaded with grape vines. It is quite attractive. I thought it was a bunch of large trees in wooden buckets made to transport them somewhere. Like from a nursery to the new owners property.

It's nice to hear from you Abe. Your comment made me look through my old photos of the vineyards and I realized that in many of the close-up shots it is indeed impossible to tell that the vines are on a slope. Here are links to some of my old posts for those who might be interested:

Great picture of the hillside - makes you wonder for a bit as to what you are looking at. Thanks for the tour of previous posts! Love the one with a red, red car - a Citroen?
I didn't realize you had such a steep hillside too. One of our Swiss friends had a family vineyard in I think Shaffhausen. I still have an empty bottle (no. 251 of 300?) of the vine he made for his wedding. I'm off to refresh my memory.

Yes, indeed, those shots do show better that the vines are growing on a steep hillside. Thanks for showing me those. I appreciate it.
