Who and why
I started this blog in Jan 2007 as a member of the City Daily Photo family representing the village of Villigen. I'm a transplant to Switzerland and keeping the blog was a way for me to keep a record of new things I learnt while sharing with others. Camera information
My current camera is an Olympus OM-D E-M10 (2014). Main lens: Panasonic 20mm f/1.7. Zoom/macro: Olympus M.Zuiko 60mm f/2.8. Until mid-2014 I had an Olympus PEN-EP2 (2010). Up until June 2010 I used a Panasonic Lumix FZ7 (2006). Occasionally there may appear photos taken with either a Nikon Coolpix 950 that I've had since 2000 or a used Nikon Coolpix 990 I acquired in 2009.

I'm enjoying these. Better than wheat, except when it's nearer to harvest.
They look beautiful, but I don't think I would try it... ;)

Yes it is a Beautyberry (Callicarpa).
The berries last well into the winter. They are an important survival food for birds and other animals, though they will not eat them until other sources are depleted. The berries are highly astringent, and considered unfit for human use.
