Bonfire by the stream

Another bonfire from the 1st, this one down by the stream that runs behind our building. Since I don't usually get to do any night-time shots - they would just be a black rectangle for most of the village - I'm dwelling on these for a little bit. An old post about the stream:

Glad it isn't a forest fire! Looks like a big bonfire.

Interesting...do they have any restrictions on fire?

I prefer this one. I like trees before fire ! I tell you something else about my banana jam on my blog

At last I've got you onto my list of regular feeds which should make my life more efficient.

I checked on the Milka story....strange. I wonder if it has to do with Milka being a milk chocoalte? Our market is moving towards ever darker and more intense bitter styles. So the Milka brand (well known) is no longer selling so well here.????

Nice photos. With the bonfires, does anyone bring marshmallows to toast?

Thanks for visiting my NorthBayPhoto blog.

Wow that is a big bonfire. We are not permitted to have open fires here.

Regarding restrictions, there are some but I don't know the details. I see people making fires all around. During certain times, such as when it's really dry and hot, there are bans as we had earlier in the year.

There might also be special exemptions for farmers. In the woods, along the "Wanderwege" there are special spots for fire and picnicking and most people seem to be good about making their fires in the designated areas.

No marshmallows that I've seen. Not so popular here (yet?)
