One of the signs of Spring

I think these are Snowflakes (leucojum), a relative of Snowdrops (galanthus). Anyone know for sure? Whatever they are, they're pretty. Several people in the daily photo community have been posting about the arrival of Spring. For a photo of Snowdrops in Stockholm, click here.

I'm not sure about snowflakes. The ones I have seen are the ones falling down from the sky, which these apparently haven't ;-) In my opinion they're snowdrops all of them, but then again - I'm no bothanist. Regarding the linked snowdrops, I might add the snow surrounding the drops is melting away pretty fast now, at last.

Not much snow over here tonight, that's for sure. However, the average winter in Stockholm lasts 48 hours so I think we're in for a couple of more rounds.

Bernt: They definitely have different Latin and German names, so I think there is some reason to discriminate between the two. I don't care so much, but I would like to know.

Per: 48 hours? I can't decide whether you're being sarcastic or just typed too fast.

Slightly sarcastic but if you count all the times when snow falls and melts away the next day I'd say it's not too far from the truth.
