Furry young catkins on some willow growing next to a stream in Villigen. Just this past weekend I noticed branches of these for sale at the farmers' markets.
I love this tree..We called it Pussy Willow. We don't have any here in Florida that I know of but it grew in New Jersey and I miss it. The furry catkins were a definite sign of spring for me.
I started this blog in Jan 2007 as a member of the City Daily Photo family representing the village of Villigen. I'm a transplant to Switzerland and keeping the blog was a way for me to keep a record of new things I learnt while sharing with others. I was on a long LONG break, and now I post only sporadically although I still have hopes of posting more regularly. Thanks for stopping by and drop me a line if you have questions or comments. Camera and other information at the foot of the page. 20150322

Memory lane! I used to have so much fun with these Pussy Willows as a child. A wonderful springtime activity was collecting them.
Perfect shot!
I like this tree...it looks fluffy.
We have a big pussy willow growing in our garden as a child. It was lovely to be reminded of it.
