Colors of the fall II

These berries are no more than 6 mm (less than a quarter of an inch) in diameter. I hadn't noticed until just recently that they're this pinkish color.

I would be interested in knowing what the name of the bush is they grow on. They look similar to those growing on contoeaster here.

Abraham: I suspect this is also cotoneaster, as you say.

I was thinking they look similar to hawthorne berries. But I don't think those grow in Europe. At least not natively.

Happy Friday!

Halcyon: Given the selection of plants in the vicinity, I don't think European natives were sought out.

Hi Wellingtonia,

I'm not sure I agree that it's Callicarpa japonica. Compare the leaves in the photo that's in the English Wikipedia article (click here). Those leaves are large and have teeth, while the ones in my photo are small and smooth-edged. Also, the plants in my photo are very low to the ground, about 0.5 meters or less tall. The callicarpa japonica is taller, like a tree. I think I have a photo of that plant as well, and I'll post it in a day or two. By the way, I tried to look for the German Wiki article, and found only a page about some sweets.

About ID, I don't know. I sign in through my Google account. Do you have objections to signing up with Google?

Here's a picture from Wikipedia that indicates there's a relative of snowberry that is called coral berry, but looks like your color there:
