Bee illustration

A bee house on wheels? I don't know what this is actually, but the graphic captured my interest.

An aside: The Large Hadron Collider at CERN, located near Geneva on the Swiss-French border, is being powered up today. Here's a link to a funny/silly rap on the project by Katherine McAlpine (that last name seems too much of a coincidence!), a science communicator at CERN. Direct link to the YouTube video. Enjoy!

Cute illustration. But why is the mommy bee holding a pitchfork? ;D

Very cute, but now I'm curious as well as why the mommy bee is holding a pitchfork lol

Hm, maybe it's a rake interpreted oddly. Or, maybe a tool used to pull out the bee hive segments? I don't know...

If you're reading this message then the LHC test was a success and CH still exists (bees and all)...

[Sorry Z, couldn't resist!]

I thought it was a pitchfork, too! Cute illustration, though.

Good thing you happen to BEE around when the BEE-mobile passed by. It is very cute. What's the little guy carrying?
There are some fabulous photos of H?? at CERN on Boston.com (link thru Google). So glad CH is still there!

I'm worried that I haven't seen ANY bees round Aesch this summer....

Re LHC. shame it has to shut down. I was rather hoping that it would precipitate another "big bang" - if only to see the looks on all the creationists faces!

Richard: It is strange that there would be an absence of bees in your part when we seem to have enough here. Re: the LHC, I could imagine the collective groans of all the grad students who are itching to get data so that they can finally graduate!
