Organic - or Bio as they call it here - fertilizer being applied to the fields. Give thanks that olfactory properties don't convey over the Internet (yet?)
Ha-ha! Again, it brings back memories as we lived right next to a farmer's field in Hochdorf (on Rosengartenstrasse). There were many hot summer evenings that it was better to suffer the heat than the smell... :)
I started this blog in Jan 2007 as a member of the City Daily Photo family representing the village of Villigen. I'm a transplant to Switzerland and keeping the blog was a way for me to keep a record of new things I learnt while sharing with others. I was on a long LONG break, and now I post only sporadically although I still have hopes of posting more regularly. Thanks for stopping by and drop me a line if you have questions or comments. Camera and other information at the foot of the page. 20150322

We used to get that quite often here. The city allowed a turf farmer to spray this stuff on their fields of grass.
But there is nothing worse than Pig or Hog manure. It smells really bad.

We fertilisize our kitchen garden in puting the ashes of the shaft and the cut grass when we begin to mowe the lawn.
You like tractors don't you? I do like the view down the hillside and the little church disappearing into the vegetation.
Those wires are incredibly low to the ground. What are they for?
Julie: Remember that it's hilly around here. What looks close to the ground actually need not be. Those are electricity lines.
