Who and why
I started this blog in Jan 2007 as a member of the City Daily Photo family representing the village of Villigen. I'm a transplant to Switzerland and keeping the blog was a way for me to keep a record of new things I learnt while sharing with others. Camera information
My current camera is an Olympus OM-D E-M10 (2014). Main lens: Panasonic 20mm f/1.7. Zoom/macro: Olympus M.Zuiko 60mm f/2.8. Until mid-2014 I had an Olympus PEN-EP2 (2010). Up until June 2010 I used a Panasonic Lumix FZ7 (2006). Occasionally there may appear photos taken with either a Nikon Coolpix 950 that I've had since 2000 or a used Nikon Coolpix 990 I acquired in 2009.

Is that a lead water butt I see? Your yesterday's tractor driver would not win the prize for Straight Furrows at a ploughing match!
Watch out for wheat. Bread prices are going up already, so expect the whole of Villigen to go under wheat for the coming season - compulsory purchase on your house!

Nice little garden corner. I like the metal watering can. More attractive than plastic ones.
Chuckeroon: Not lead, concrete. It's actually not moveable, and there's a spigot above it, just barely visible at the top of the photo. It's like a simple fountain really.
Claude: The metal looks nice, but is heavy compared to the plastic. After many trips to and from the trough, perhaps plastic starts to look better.
The winter wheat seeds will be sown approx mid October....sometime around or after 16th Oct, if my memory is good. I hope that the rains have not damaged this year's crop too seriously.
Yes, I prefer plastic watering cans (mine is bright blue), but metal ones take good "weathered' pics I think!
