Fountain Villigen 1878


It's been some time since the last fountain post (click on the label below to see the old ones). Here's one with non-potable water. There are two more photos of the iron grill and the hydrangeas in the background at the overflow site. This batch of photos was taken with my seven year old Nikon Coolpix 950 (my first digital) camera.

I like fountains. When we go on vacation with our motor-home, we could saw a few ones specially in the South where pratically all the villages has one.

How is the fact it is non-potable indicated? I've yet to come across one in this area, at least I've drank out of all of them!

This is a really big fountain. As Abraham said, must have been for horses. I remember one rather like this when I was a child in England. Love it.
