The blue car

You never know what lurks behind barn doors. First, there was the red car (27 May - the French Deux Chevaux). Then there was the green car (07 July - the British MG A). On Saturday, I caught this blue car taken for a spin from the barn across from our building. Anyone know what it is? For more views of the car, there's my overflow site:
More of the blue car

A reader (Richard, not from Zürich) has identified this as an Amilcar, produced in France during the 1920s. Here are a few links to photos:

A very different looking vehicle but no idea about it...nice shot!
Did you try out any recipes with the fried rice?

Great car but no idea. At first I thought it might be an old MG but no - think I'm wrong. My first ever car was an MG - a 1939 one - think it was a TD or TA, completely forgotten now. Bought it for £80 - imagine what that would be worth now!

Anyway, I digress. Love this car and look forward to your telling us what it is.

I have no clue about foregin cars. I have trouble nowadays trying to figure out what I see on the highways here where I live. I am lost, after almost 73 years, in trying to figure out what a Ford looks like.

Thanks for passing Menton. re the MG, well I sold it when I bought a Mini, when they first came out. I'd about run the poor MG into the ground by then. Sure it died soon afterwards and went to the great car graveyard in the sky. Pity. It was a great car. I used to drive around London in it, barefoot - a hippie in those days - still am, don't tell anyone! I used to love that car tho. If I'd known better, I'd have taken care of it.

I missed your post on barefoot ladies! Thanks for pointing me to it. Really how I ever did it I can't imagine - all that dirt and rough roads I must have walked on. Put it down to a misspent youth. Didn't we all have them?

I'm glad you posted this photo rather than one of the others. IMO it's got a lot more going for it, especially the "action" that we can relate to as the guy reverses it (by the look of things) into the garage. The composition is great as well, capturing the head silhouetted against the shadows. The foliage and slight telephoto effect frame it perfectly

No idea about this car, but it's a beauty!
My first car was also blue (powder blue ;-)), a little boxy Renault with a push-button transmission and no brakes...Good times ;-)

Loved your comment on my "faux" jail in Naples and found the photo you referred to here:

So my idea wasn't so outrageous, after all...

I normally prefer red, but I could fall this blue one, don't have a clue what it is!

I'm showing my best ever picture of Marsden Rock today.

I don't know what this car is either. One person suggested that it might be a modification, and I guess it is possible that it's really a one-off. I'll keep my eye out for other sightings, and will try to go up to the owner to ask about it. No promises though!

Richard: I think the one with the gauges still appeals to me more. Just wish I had had a better shot. Speaking of which, I was at 12x zoom for these photos.
