I just love sliding tracks almost as much as I love wheat. What's all that about "gorgeous weather" over on R's blog? I haven't noticed any. Have you got soemthing I haven't?
I started this blog in Jan 2007 as a member of the City Daily Photo family representing the village of Villigen. I'm a transplant to Switzerland and keeping the blog was a way for me to keep a record of new things I learnt while sharing with others. I was on a long LONG break, and now I post only sporadically although I still have hopes of posting more regularly. Thanks for stopping by and drop me a line if you have questions or comments. Camera and other information at the foot of the page. 20150322

Oh my. I have not seen one of these rollers in ages. It is how our barn doors were rolled open too. Nice photo.
If you visited my blog yesterday and left a comment about our 52nd wedding anniversary, I wanted to say, "Thanks."

love the way wood's shining in the pic......i have never seen a barn up,close and personal except on blogs.....how i wish i can explore one ....
Just love the old grain color and the shadows cast on the door.
Is the barn also on Hauptstrasse?
Interesting picture...
Thank you all for your comments.
Chuckeroon: I just posted a few photos today (Saturday) so you can see what I'm talking about.
Moi: Most of the barns here are in use, either for farming-related things, or as garages. I haven't been inside one.
GMG: In fact, it is. It's the same barn as seen on June 20th.
Very nice detail. The colour of the wood is so beautiful!
I like all the "detail" photos you're posting like this one. I think they capture the feel of these little rural villages very well.
