Who and why
I started this blog in Jan 2007 as a member of the City Daily Photo family representing the village of Villigen. I'm a transplant to Switzerland and keeping the blog was a way for me to keep a record of new things I learnt while sharing with others. Camera information
My current camera is an Olympus OM-D E-M10 (2014). Main lens: Panasonic 20mm f/1.7. Zoom/macro: Olympus M.Zuiko 60mm f/2.8. Until mid-2014 I had an Olympus PEN-EP2 (2010). Up until June 2010 I used a Panasonic Lumix FZ7 (2006). Occasionally there may appear photos taken with either a Nikon Coolpix 950 that I've had since 2000 or a used Nikon Coolpix 990 I acquired in 2009.

Could it be to make some plant dry? A nice thing anyway.
The mystery is what draws you to it. If we knew we would say, "why that's a widget" and pay it know attention. But our mind wants to understand the mysterious.
It also reminds me of a basketball hoop they shoot basketballs at.

An interesting career for any object. First it serves some useful purpose, then we forget about the purpose and finally (?) it’s being promoted to decoration... :)

So, no one knows what the thing was used for. The holes are too large for most fish, maybe Alice is right, that it was used to dry something.
I've no idea what it is but I like the photographic idea and the cropping. Again a contrast like yesterdays between foreground and background
