It seems that all the fire hydrants in Stilli are decorated. This one is in the colors of our home canton Aargau.

Who and why
I started this blog in Jan 2007 as a member of the City Daily Photo family representing the village of Villigen. I'm a transplant to Switzerland and keeping the blog was a way for me to keep a record of new things I learnt while sharing with others. Camera information
My current camera is an Olympus OM-D E-M10 (2014). Main lens: Panasonic 20mm f/1.7. Zoom/macro: Olympus M.Zuiko 60mm f/2.8. Until mid-2014 I had an Olympus PEN-EP2 (2010). Up until June 2010 I used a Panasonic Lumix FZ7 (2006). Occasionally there may appear photos taken with either a Nikon Coolpix 950 that I've had since 2000 or a used Nikon Coolpix 990 I acquired in 2009.

These are great fun - I thought of starting a photo collection. It's a bit like the cow/bench/teddybear parades that we have in Zurich
Cute fire hydrant..I think it's fun too but are they as visible as the ones painted red?

I would be happy to see the other ones, nice idea!
@angela - I don't think the originals are red - but the fire brigade know where they are!
Richard: I've taken your idea and am running with it.
Angela: as Richard pointed out, the basic versions aren't red. They have a red cap and a grey body. I don't there's a problem with the fire brigade not finding them.
