39. Electricity meter

For those of you who were wondering (and there must be scads of you), this is what an electricity meter looks like in Switzerland. I find it quite pretty.

There are two numbers kWh regions as you can see. 

(I) The peak usage period is Monday through Friday from 07:00 to 19:00, and then the electricity costs more.

(II) Is the non-peak period, and this is when, e.g. a hot water heater may be programmed to run to replenish the tank.

The cost difference is almost a factor of two.
