Sheep herd near Volketswil
A roving band, I think. I saw a shepherd and a sheep dog keeping watch. I don't know how many there are that pass through this part of Switzerland, this is the second I've seen in five years.
Hard life, don't you think? Especially now with the cold wave we're having. Wherever they are, I hope they're warm and dry.

Most interesting...unusual to have travelling sheep in this day & age. Any snow over your way?

Tash: Yes, we had some bit of snow off and on last week but as of this morning, the temperature has finally climbed above zero C and the snow is melting away. Thank you for the nice wishes.
To me, this is such an awesome and pretty scene! But yes, I hope the shepherd and all his charges are warm.
