Snail on lavender stalk

Last year I posted a photo of a snail on a stalk of something grass-like. Here's this year's version, on lavender.

Amazing that it could get up there that high.

That is the best variation on the traditional lavender shot I have ever seen. Lovely.

You can see the lavender of my garden, but with no snail

Nice photo. Another one where the square format works well.

Dear Cat-devotee-of-Villegen

I knew that semantic problem was in my post but was damned if I was going to cross-culturise my post!! We do have sandals, too. But there is no such thing as a flip-flop in Australia ... well, not in polite society! And even in our unpolite society - which we have our share of - flips-flops are worn higher up than the foot!

like I said last year "We get ones just like that climbing up the walls, evening trying get in under the door." but we don't have any lavender growing!

Nice catch. I'm not much for snails, but this is a very interesting image.
