I freaked out the first time i rode from Italy to Provence and they had vines two feet tall. I stopped to take a picture and pretended I was standing among vines I was used to seeing 6 feet tall. It must be hell picking the grapes at your ankles all day.
I go to wineries and the views are breath taking. The one I go to grows them on a slope so you can see all the way down. What is amazing is that the soil changes between wineries and then so does the taste of the wine.
I started this blog in Jan 2007 as a member of the City Daily Photo family representing the village of Villigen. I'm a transplant to Switzerland and keeping the blog was a way for me to keep a record of new things I learnt while sharing with others. I was on a long LONG break, and now I post only sporadically although I still have hopes of posting more regularly. Thanks for stopping by and drop me a line if you have questions or comments. The lines and the colours make a great photo.
Not ready to grow yet? I'm totally clueless about grapes since the Philippines is too hot for them.
Love the little yellow flowers on the ground though!

The grass is so green - the vines look so stumpy!
