I thought this might be Ranunculus aconitifolius but I'm not sure. The leaves look about right, but the blossoms have too many petals and look different.

I think this may be Anemone nemorosa or Wood Anemone which is part of the ranunculus family. They grow in my yard as well, but not yet.
Whatever it is, it is lovely.
I spent a year trying to find the right names for the flowers I found in the forest. It was interesting, but nowhere near as interesting as enjoying the plants themselves. These flowers are lovely whatever their name.
Nice flower. It looks similar to the "Christmas Rose" that I posted last week. But I'm not good at identifying things either, unless they're very common!
Pretty little flowers. Two days ago in mowing the lawn I saw some littles nice flowers. I stopped my engine to shot them.
I don't know what they are but they sure are beautiful. Happy Spring!!
