Winter aconite

Winter aconite. Eranthis hyemalis. Südeuropäischer Winterling. Wiki entry here. Poisonous if consumed but valued for its early-spring appearance.

Overexposed but I'm posting it anyway. I'm eager for spring, as are these plants. I had a better photo last year: 20080216 Harbinger.

So sweet, they should be higher up so people don't miss them.

Pretty! I'm ready for some of my flowers to start blooming.

Spring is certainly in the air here too. We don't get a big change of seasons in San Diego but I can see the changes in the plants.

Spring is coming. Your photo looks like mine of my crocus.

I always have trouble with the exposure on bright yellow flowers. Seems like the problem happens on the other side of the world too. Glad spring is coming your way ... we are getting excited about the colours or Autumn coming up soon.
