The constant boatman on the Limmat
One February evening, standing on the Rudolf-Brun bridge over the Limmat in Zürich, looking west towards the Schweizer Heimatwerk shop. Google map of the area at this link.
My initial intent was to talk about the mural and I tried to find some information about it but have come up empty handed so far. Please do leave a comment if you know anything at all.
Since I have nothing on the mural, I'll say a few things about the shop. It sells Swiss (hand)crafted items that make great gifts. Running the range from crazy-expensive masterwork Reuge music boxes to little handkerchiefs by the lace makers of St. Gallen. One famous example of the work of the lace makers: the yellow material (Forster Rohner) out of which Michelle Obama's inauguration dress was made.

The mural is nice. I thought it was real. The artist was not a beginner but knew what he was doing to make it look like he did. Could be a she so if it was, add the "s" before the "he." Nice post. I enjoyed reading and looking.

It is an amazing mural... maybe nothing to it more than nouveau art. (Que c'est triste Venise)
Some hotels in Las Vegas NV have similar murals and backgrounds.
Great shot by the way
Great picture. First glance I thought they were underwater. Haha. Terrific lighting.
The mural now has a mystery that needs to be solved. Like Abe, I thought is was real for a moment!
I should say as Abe. This mural is beautiful and seems real. I find you photo very nice with this painting and the lightened windows.
a friend told me about a project that he was doing on his city murals and a website for which he was doing it......I have often thought of checking it out and finally did now to provide you the link:
