I started this blog in Jan 2007 as a member of the City Daily Photo family representing the village of Villigen. I'm a transplant to Switzerland and keeping the blog was a way for me to keep a record of new things I learnt while sharing with others. I was on a long LONG break, and now I post only sporadically although I still have hopes of posting more regularly. Thanks for stopping by and drop me a line if you have questions or comments. Nice photo :) Love the angle.
I like the various lines in the photo. Nice!
Tricky title ...
This is such an engrossing image, Z. Yes, the angles and straight lines joining various planes.
But also the variety of building materials: terracotta, rock, corrugated iron, rough-hew logs ...
And the blasting by the weather causing the wood to blacken with age and for lichen to grow on the tiles.
Now to go and hunt for the image I took - hanging out yet another window - of a ... what do you call the apex of a roof? Possibly a hip or a ridge ...
I love the angle too! I am glad you came to visit Geneva Illinois! Hope you will come back soon!
Uh oh, well spotted Z. Too much talk of Michael Haneke this morning!
Take two:
Very nicely framed. A beautiful piece of Switzerland!
