Photos from Villigen, Switzerland and surroundings
This is the building housing yesterday's cows. Some of the cows sauntered out casually after being milked while others, like these two, hoofed it out of there.

cute cows, j'aime les vaches et cette photo est bien jolie, le fromage est caché où!!
I like seeing those cows grazing free and free to rable after being milked ... Happy cows produce good milk, that's what I read. Is that true, Z?
It would be absolutely wonderful if you could get INSIDE that she as well!
Lucky cows ! They have a beautifull milking shed. That's good to go pasturing after milking.
You are right in that other photo - 18 cows. I know a little about cows. See that light brown one in the centre - she is what I call a Guernsey which produces creamy milk and lots of it. There are no Jersey cows in this lot - they produce the creamiest milk but less of it. THe black and white cows are called Fresians and they produce loads of milk that is not particularly creamy. Now the brown cows I am unsure of. They look like what we in Australia know as Illawarra Shorthorns which no self-respecting dairy man would have in his herd. They are owned by families who want fresh milk.
Here endeth the lesson.
