Who and why

Villigen (pronounced filligen) is a small village (pop. 1915 when combined with Stilli and Joseboden) in Canton Aargau, about 35 km from Zürich city (see it on a map here). I'm Z and I've lived in Villigen since 2004. This is a photo chronicle of my explorations, started 17 Jan 2007. Camera and other information at the foot of the page. Comments and corrections are always welcome. I will try my best to respond to all feedback. Advertisements will almost certainly be deleted.

Around the world with city blogs past and present

My main camera is a Panasonic Lumix FZ7 (2006). Occasionally there may appear photos taken with a Canon PowerShot S410 (2004) or either a Nikon Coolpix 950 that I've had since 2000 or a used Nikon Coolpix 990 I acquired recently. I write the taken-on date in small font at the bottom of each post. I manage my photos with iPhoto, do the framing with Picnik and sometimes use GIMP or Photoshop to try to correct optical distortions. 20090710.
