Lake Geneva from a speeding train

I had to make a short trip to Geneva today and my photo ops were at high speed, through the plastic of the windows. I couldn't get rid of a white balance problem, so I decided to just go to greyscale.

This makes quite a dramatic photo and such nice scenery!

It's actually quite a dramatic shot like this. Sometimes happy accidents occur. It really stands out tin the portal anyway. Well done.

Thanks, you two! Your comments almost made me post another photo from that group, but I resisted the urge.

Yes, both dramatic and mysterious!
3 questions:
- were you driving and taking photos
- why are your vehicle windows plastic, not glass
- why do you speak Greek to us ("white balance?")

(PS Don't look at me, I did not tickle you ;-))

Izzy: (i) Train. Some of the best views are from the upper decks. (ii) The windows seem to be a plastic sort of thing, but they could be glass. Will have to look into this. (iii) Greek is too much fun!
