'Tis the season V

Edelweiss, of course. One of my favorite photos is one I took of some real edelweiss. I've uploaded the photo to my overflow site:

....yes the peel takes a little longer but provided the composter is nice and active it disappears along with the rest.

Try giving it a turn about once a fortnight.

Thanks for the greetings. Arrived in Geneva yesterday evening. Hotel ok & not far from the lake. But boy is it cold, and sadly no sun yet.

Thank you all for taking the time to leave comments!

Alice: I did see your fun series on the wee birds.

JoAnn: I answered you on your blog with a link to information on the alpine flower. I think many Anglophones will link the flower (and so associate it with Austria) to the movie The Sound of Music which featured a song called Edelweiss.

Gail's man (and Gail, too, I presume): I think this is not the best time to visit Geneva, at least compared to what it's like in the summer... you should have gone to Ticino! Or to higher altitudes for a good bit of snow. In any event, enjoy your stay!

Lara: Welcome to my blog. Hope to see you around!
