Who and why
I started this blog in Jan 2007 as a member of the City Daily Photo family representing the village of Villigen. I'm a transplant to Switzerland and keeping the blog was a way for me to keep a record of new things I learnt while sharing with others. I was on a long LONG break, and now I post only sporadically although I still have hopes of posting more regularly. Thanks for stopping by and drop me a line if you have questions or comments. Camera information
My current camera is an Olympus OM-D E-M10 (2014). Main lens: Panasonic 20mm f/1.7. Zoom/macro: Olympus M.Zuiko 60mm f/2.8. Until mid-2014 I had an Olympus PEN-EP2 (2010). Up until June 2010 I used a Panasonic Lumix FZ7 (2006). Occasionally there may appear photos taken with either a Nikon Coolpix 950 that I've had since 2000 or a used Nikon Coolpix 990 I acquired in 2009.

My husband uses some hardware for furnitures he makes but not as beautiful as this door handle !
Looks rather oriental. It also looks like the kind of handle you can use when both hands are full
great shot!! and just what richard thought where i also thought Villigen?? Great they have that there
at first glimpse, it looked like Tibetan charms to me :)
..great for "giving it the elbow": in fact rather clever.
(BTW...should we worry about Richard? Or leave him to sort it out for himself?)

Great pictures. The door handle is beautiful, but the suntanned wood series is marvellous...
