Villigen under a blue autumn sky

Another "aerial" shot from Besserstein. There's the PSI and the Aare from yesterday, and a bit of a view of the village of Villigen as well.

I agree with Claude photographically, although I do like the building close-up - the mystery of research facilities (to us outsiders that is)

I do also like this shot. It seems the most comforting to me. No details to deal with, just bold splotches of color, and form.

If you have not see my new blog about my early life in Japan (1950s) then it might be worth the click > Here

I agree with all three of you that this is the nicer photo. That's why I posted the other one yesterday -- I wanted to show the PSI buildings close-up as Richard mentions and this photo from today has "no details to deal with" as OML says.

I bet it's quite warm still. We had a sunny but surprisingly cool day, 10C maybe.

love looking down like that from that height...the view from above puts it all into perspective, eh! :)

Per: This week the daily temperatures in these parts are supposed to range from 8C to 21C. The leaves are changing color gradually. I'd like to go check out the higher elevations, to see how things are changing there, but I don't think I'll be able to do that for another month.

Moi: I should take the initiative and go up there more often. Usually, I'm too lazy.
