The remnants of the corn plants

Another farm post before I resume the Baden series. At first, I thought the corn cobs were plucked before the plants were cut down and shredded. But, now I'm not sure this batch was intended for human consumption. Maybe food for the dairy cows?

I thought Swiss cows were grass-fed only. I like this photo so much. The light, colors, the whole scene is so perfect. Very nice!

maize is an important animal feed stock. cows, chickens etc. The corn on the cob in the Greengrocer's shop is excellent right now.

Z...I've got some interior stair shots for you as promised long ago. I need a workable e-mail address to send them to you...the blogger one doesn't seem to work.

How you managed to get so painting like picture that common view. It is really fine!

Lots of work for big machines. Imagine the days when farming was powered solely by human (and admittedly some animal) muscles.
