Wildflower: Scarlet pimpernel
I've only ever seen two of these plants. Anagallis arvensis (Acker-Gauchheil) is also known as the poor man's barometer as the flowers close when the atmospheric pressure falls.

Oh..tks so much for this little series. I'm too lazy and just say "wild flower"...so all hail to you Z. (another 10 days before my sick laptop gets back the archives are being plundered and the themes are simple.)
For those who were wondering, I have a field guide for wildflowers, and that's what I use to identify the plants and get the scientific name (the book is in German).
like the idea of poor man's barometer and of course the flower's precious!!! :)
