The fountain across from Vogt

Past the tulips in the yesterday's post, you'll come upon this fountain. The fourth one on this blog so far. There are several more to come.

For a full view of the fountain, visit my overflow site.

The full-view is a much better photo but it took me two looks at it before I actually saw the grey monument portion. So many that was the reason you didn't show it here on your main blog. I like that photo better than this one which doesn't show any water or seem to reveal that it is a fountain. If you had not put your narrative in then nobody would have known it was a fountain. So, I like the other view of the fountian today. I hope you don't mind my telling you this.

Have your ever seen two Hondas from the top?

Like you, I prefer the "full view", but as you noticed yourself, the fountain seems to just blend into the photo unless you know to look for it! Also, the black background on my auxiliary site is a better choice for that photo. Anyway, I particularly like the column part of the fountain. I would say that it doesn't fit in with the rest somehow, and the photo with it against the blue sky emphasizes that for me.

Thank you for your comments. I actually welcome such input. I may not always agree with them, but I can almost always learn something from them.

I had to return to follow-up with your comments on my blog.

Actually, "thank you" for taking the time to visit my blog. I always appreciate it when visitors stop and when they leave comments too, it makes me feel good.

I agree with your conclusions 100% and I feel fortunate that you didn't get upset at my comment.

To be frank and honest about it, your post reminds me so much of the column in Rome, "Trajan's column" which is about the only way I have ever seen it photographed.

And there, it depends on if you are interested in the TRAJAN inscriptional forms (letters cut in stone) more than the rest of the decorative features.

So at first I thought it was Trajan's column. I had no idea it was a fountain.

Thanks again for your kindness and I appreciate your visits.

P.S. I took off the loop of photos on my blog. Let me know if it helps to see my main daily photo. I posted a dog portrait today.

I was wondering where the water is but you showed it on your overflow site. Very nice.

This one here is very artistic whereas the one at the overflow site is very scenic.
