A windy day in Villigen

It is tremendously windy today with night-time gusts up to 100 km per hour (62 mph) and I wanted to capture the effect in a photo. Not so easy, apparently. Do the blurry branches convey the idea that it's very windy? Or does it just look like a poorly focused image?

By all accounts the whole of Northern Europe is affected at the moment. We've only had half our garden fence blown away so shouldn't complain.

Hi Gerald, yes, gale force winds all across Europe -- from the reports I've read, it seems we got off easy in Villigen. Kris, I'm curious to see your captures. And thanks for the welcome message!

My post today at Hyde DP has links to other European DPs carrying pictures of the weather.

I like this photo, the blurr effect on the branches show how hard they must be shaking! Hope you are out of the storm now.
