Daily photos from (mostly) in and around Villigen, Switzerland

This is a view of Villigen (pronounced filligen) from Besserstein (548 m | 1798 ft). It's a small village in Kanton Aargau, an hour from Zürich by public transportation. We've lived here for about two years and this is home base for my explorations of Switzerland.

My main camera is a Panasonic Lumix FZ7 (2006). Occasionally there may appear photos taken with a Canon PowerShot S410 (2004) or even a Nikon Coolpix 950 that I've had since 2000. I write the taken-on date in small font at the bottom of each post. In the first few months of the blog, I indicated whether I had done any manipulation in software, but since reading Ansel Adams' The Print, I've decided that that is unnecessary. 20070409.
