Where the Rhone begins
The Rhone river doesn't make it to my part of Switzerland, but it rises here, near where the Aare begins and it would be remiss of me not to mention it. More about it at this Wikipedia page: Rhone.

Many years ago I was working with a French colleague who hailed from Lyon. Where the Rhone is very large. We had to make some ICT installations in Upper Valais. When he saw the Rhone so tiny, he was surprised.
Queen Anne's lace is a lovely addition to any photo. It has been in many a foreground of my pictures this summer.
I never thought there was such a tiny part of the rhone.
Thanks
That's a gorgeous picture of the beginning of a river.
Just beautiful. Really enjoyed the
fantastic photos of Grimsel Pass, too.
I learnt about the Rhine and Rhone when I was as school, interesting to see the Rhone at it's source.
I'm really enjoying the scenery you are currently showing.
Beautifully composed!
